Registration For Free March 25 Webinar: The SBA's Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program

Webinar: The SBA's Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program

Date:  March 25, 2021

Time:  12:30 pm (EDT) to 1:30 pm (EDT)

Presenters:  Mark A. Amadeo, Principal, Amadeo Law Firm, PLLC

Synopsis:  In May 2020, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) published its much anticipated final rule on the certification requirements under its Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contract Program.  Thereafter, women-owned small businesses seeking to enter the program could no longer self-certify that they were eligible.  On March 25, 2021 at 12:30 (EDT), Mark Amadeo will discuss briefly how the SBA's WOSB program expands federal government contracting opportunities for women-owned small businesses and will touch briefly on the WOSB program eligibility requirements and the certification application process.

Thank You For Registering For Our 2021 Webinar: Sales Taxes and Federal Government Contracts

THANKS FOR REGISTERING FOR OUR WEBINAR!

Webinar: Sales Taxes and Federal Government Contracts
Date:  July 29, 2021

Time:  12:30 pm (EDT) to 1:30 pm (EDT)

Presenters:  Mark A. Amadeo, Principal, Amadeo Law Firm, PLLC

Synopsis:  Not too infrequently, federal government contractors are surprised when they receive a vendor's purchase order requiring payment of a state sales tax or an invoice notifying the government contractor for the first time that it is expected to pay a sales tax.  Indeed, federal government contractors that operate on the assumption that all purchases of materials or supplies used on their federal government contracts are automatically exempt from state and local taxes do so at a significant risk to expected government contract profit margins.  On July 29, 2021 at 12:30 (EDT), Mark Amadeo will discuss briefly the federal government's immunity to state and local taxes, the application of sales taxes to purchases made by contractors under federal government contracts, sales tax exemptions, and steps government contractors can take to avoid sales tax surprises.
